Janice Williams RN, CHTP

Janice Williams has been a nurse since 1977 and working over 20 years in the Intensive Care Unit she retired from hospital nursing in 2005 to focus her energy in a more holistic way. Starting in the early 90’s Janice had already begun to explore alternative and complementary healing modalities. She became a Certified Hypnotherapist in 1995, began curriculum in Therapeutic Touch and Healing Touch in 1996 and received her Certification in Healing Touch in 1999. She used healing touch in the hospital and had a healing room in family physician’s office for three years.

Janice WilliamsJanice began playing the crystal bowls also in 99 (although she says her knowledge of the bowls spans many lifetimes). She was originally inspired by Dr Mitchel Gaynor who was using the crystal bowls in his Oncology practice and discussed using the cystal bowls in the ICU but was even more intrigued by Elder Renee Brodie (author, muscician and healer since 1940s) and journeyed to Vancouver where Janice spent time with Renee and found a mentor with whom she could relate.

Janice received a Certification in Interior Alignment and Instinctive Feng Shui from Denise Lynn in 2000. She delved into studies of Dr Upledger and completed Craniosacral I and II and Lymphatic Drainage I and Lymphatic Drainage II from its developer Dr Bruno Chikly also in 2000.

Janice became a Reiki Master in 2001 and that same year was honored to play the Crystal Bowls at a world sound healers event in Baden Baden performed in the Kurhaus. Working closely with composer, musician and mystic clown, Lex Van Someran from Germany Janice, made three inspirational Cds with voice and crystal bowls. These Cds are used extensively for healing and meditation. On the Autumnal Equinox 2003 Janice took 18 bowls out to the west coast to an ancient lava tube. On the incoming tide she recorded Circle of Angels which features the sounds of the ocean and tones of the crystal bowls. She has four CDs to her credit and a 5th CD to be released later this year.
